Master babysitting skills for fun and profit!

Type your name in the box below. Listen to the whole test before you fill in the blanks. There are some great ways for kids your age to keep themselves busy, have fun, and make more money than you may think. One idea is babysitting. If you're already learning to do this at home with young brothers and sisters, then you may be all ready to babysit for others and charge for your service. There are other ways to learn. You'll find books on the topic and courses are often offered, but you'd be wise to get a wide range of experiences with children, too. You could practice babysitting when the parents are there. Ask questions and be helpful. Soon you'll understand. Your first real jobs should be short, maybe an hour or two. Don't have too many children to watch at once. Avoid jobs with tiny babies, at least no newborns. Be sure you know vital phone numbers, such as a neighbor's, in case there's a problem. Remember that our work can be a lot of fun! Is babysitting a possible job for you?
