Friendships can boost your happiness and reduce your stress. Everyone goes through stressful times. If you know you have people you can count on or that you can turn to, you may feel less stressed. They could help you cope with traumas, such as divorce, serious illness, job loss or the death of a loved one. Friends can also encourage and improve your self-confidence and self-worth.
