This caused each area to develop different economic specializations to make money. For example, the rocky soil in New England made them specialize in things having to do with water, and the fertile soil in the South led those colonies to specialize in cash crops. Remember, a specialization is something that you focus on, or are good at. For example, Mrs. Clore SPECIALIZES in history. There is a reason she doesn't teach math or science! 😂 Anyway, because each colonial area had these specialties, they all relied on one another to get the things they all needed. When two or more groups rely on each other, this is called interdependence. Because the three areas were interdependent, they all traded with one another so every area would have what they needed.
