Jackson Pollock was born in 1912 in Wyoming. He spent a lot of time in California and Arizona where American Indian tribes influenced a lot of his art. Pollock was a part of the Abstract expressionism movement. This movement was centered around expressing emotions and did not make realistic pictures. Then in the 1930's the Great Depression hit, this led Pollock to painting street murals to make money. About 10 years later Pollock discovered Picasso's art which made Pollock want to experiment even more. This is when Pollock moved to a farm and used a barn to make his art. Pollock would make "drip art" where he put a canvas on the ground and would drip paint onto it straight from the can. The outcome of the art would show how Pollock might have felt when making each painting. When was Jackson Pollock born? Which artistic movement was Pollock a part of? What type of art did Pollock make in his barn? Think about the emotions Pollock might have had while painting each of these.. What do you think about Jackson Pollock's art? There are no wrong answers, give me at least 2 sentences in your response
