Basics of informal (tú) commands Affirmative commands that are directed to a single person you could address as tú are super easy! 1. Go back topresent tense and jump a verb category to theél 3rd person singular verb form. (Infinitive verb - ar then add either -a or -e)2. Now say it with authority! :) ex: Hablar 3rd person would be habla, so I would say "¡Habla español!" **Be aware that if the verb is irregular in the 3rd person (like a stem-changing "shoe" verb would be), it needs to keep this irregular form for commands. **Here is a StudyStack with some basic verbs and some related to recipes that we will be using this chapter: **In the second section, you might also need this one for chores: Matching basic commands Study! ¡Estudia! Cook! or Bake! ¡Cocina! Write! ¡Escribe! Play! (a game) ¡Juega! Play! (an instrument or music) ¡Toca! Wash! (the dishes, the clothes, the car) ¡Lava! Write in the most appropriate informal tú form command for each picture(below, on the left side) **YOU WILL ONLY NEED 1 WORD FOR EACH COMMAND (except "bake")You do NOT need to punctuate with exclamation points OR start with capital letter, it's just the form of the verb you would use. 1. nada 2. come 3. baila 4. toca 5. juega 6. escucha 7. estudia 8. lee 9. corre 10. patina 11. duerme 12. *to clean limpia 13. lava 14. aspira 15. *Use "to cook" al horno cocina al horno 16. corta 17. mezcla 18. *copy this letter when you need it: í fríe 19. verte 20. hierve 21. sirve Writing simple informal command phrases (below each phrase) Now you WILL need to capitalize the command (since it's the first letter of the command phrase)AND you will need topunctuate with an exclamation point on both ends. **COPY ¡ 1.
