Discover Earth's incredible layers! Inner core, outer core, mantle, crust - learn their order & properties.

Correctly list the Earth’s layers in order from the center to the surface? 1 (center) Inner Core 2 Outer Core 3 Mantle 4 (surface) Crust Layers of the Earth Label the different layers of the EarthWords to use:Inner CoreOuter CoreCrustMantle Crust Mantle Outer Core Inner Core Crust Mantle Outer Core Inner Core Thinnest Layer Thickest layer Liquid Solid Broken up into tectonic plates Made of liquid magma Made of Iron and Nickel Made of Iron and Nickel Composed of rocks minerals Convection current circulation happens here The second hottest layer Deepest part of the earth Journey to the Center of the Earth Use the image above to fill in the blanks below. Click on the blank and select the word that best fits. The earth is made out of layers that separate according to their composition. The density of each layer is affected by the composition of the material and the amount of pressure it is under. The thinnest and least dense layer is known as the crust. The layer under the most pressure is known as the core. Such high amounts of pressure cause this layer to remain in a liquid state of matter even though the nickel and iron are at such a high temperature. On the other hand, the outer core remains in a solid state of matter even though it is made out of the same material as the inner core since there is not enough pressure to change it to a solid. Which layer of Earth includes the crust and upper mantle? outer core mantle lithosphere asthenosphere Which layer "floats" on the layer below it? crust mantle inner core outer core How do the continental crust and oceanic crust compare? Continental crust is thinner and less dense as oceanic crust. Continental crust is thicker and less dense as oceanic crust. Continental crust and oceanic crust have the same denisty. Continental crust and oceanic crust are the same thickness.
