Greenhouse - Mutations
Fill In the Blanks. Today we learned about mutations. A mutation is a change in the nucleotide(s). The proteins do the work in the cell. Most mutations are neutral but they can also be good or bad. Point mutations is a change in one base. Two examples of a point mutation are silent or substitution. Frameshift mutations is a change in how we read the bases. Two examples are an insertion or deletion. Nucleotide label each part, base, sugar, or phosphate.
