Uncover your personality type! Learn about the Big Five traits and discover what makes you unique.

With the invention of brain imaging technology psychologists have learned a lot about human behavior, but there is still a lot we do not know. One question that gets asked frequently is: Are humans born with a certain personality type, or is it something that changes over time? Research shows that our basic personality traits are stable over time, but we do learn to work outside of those traits more as we get older.Below you will see a chart that shows what is known as the "Big Five Personality Traits". There are many different personality tests out there, but the Big Five is one of the most frequently used. The Big Five Personality Traits Watch the video and answer the question that follows. How would you describe your personality using the 5+1 traits described in the video? (Openness, Conscientiousness, Extroversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism, Honesty. Feel free to use the graphic at the top of the page to remind you of what these mean.) In two to three complete sentences answer the questions below. The Big Five Project Click on the link (The title "Big 5 personalty type) and take the big five personality test. When you go to the website there is a green box that lets you choose to do the survey with someone else. You can choose to do it alone or with someone else.The instructions are in the blue box. But basically you will see a list of statements, and you need to determine how much they describe you as a person.For example, the first statement says "Is outgoing, sociable." Mrs Hart does not feel that she is very outgoing, and sociable so she chose "strongly disagree", Mr Hart does feel that he is very outgoing, and sociable so he chose "strongly agree". If you don't have an opinion either way just pick neutral.When you finish the questions it will show you your results! Big Five Personality Type What are your results?
