Parashas Terumah

וַיְדַבֵּר ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר׃The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:דַּבֵּר אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְיִקְחוּ־לִי תְּרוּמָה מֵאֵת כָּל־אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִדְּבֶנּוּ לִבּוֹ תִּקְחוּ אֶת־תְּרוּמָתִי׃Tell the Israelite people to bring Me gifts; you shall accept gifts for Me from every person whose heart so moves him. Please summarise these two pessukim. Why do you think it says "and they should take"? Would it not have made more sense to write "and they should give"? ויקחו לי תרומה. לִי – לִשְׁמִי:ויקחו לי תרומה THAT THEY TAKE ME A HEAVE OFFERING — “Me” means to the glory of My Name(Midrash Tanchuma, Terumah 1).תרומה.
