ONLY SNAKES LIVE HERE(adapted with permission from True Stories in the News, Sandra Heyer, Longman 1993) Dora Williams wanted to go shopping, but she couldn't find her bag. She looked everywhere. When she finally found it , she screamed. She saw a big snake crawling near her bag. Dora ran out of her house. The next day Dora and her family found more fife snakes near the house. They killed the snakes.A few days later, Dora Williams and her family heard strange sounds in the house . The sounds came from inside the walls. Dora and her family were afraid. They left the house to get away from the snakes. The snakes didn't leave the house. They are still living there.How many snakes are in the house?100 snakes? 200 snakes?? nobody really knows.What is the Williams family going to do? They don't know.
