Grammar Revision - mixed tenses
Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verb in brackets. A year ago, Mrs. Ramsey woke up (wake up) at 1.30 am because she heard (heard) a noise. It was a scratching sound. Mrs. Ramsey listened (listen) carefully and sat (sit) down. While she was sitting (sit) in her bed, the noise got (get) louder. The old woman wondered where the sound was coming from.
