Creating Characters Characters are the most important part of a narrative. Without a character there wouldn't be a narrative.A great character is one that is REALISTIC andINTERESTING. Character’s traits could be stated directly or indirectly. When describing a character through the way he acts, speaks, or moves, we can talk about MANNERISMS. A Mannerism is the manner in which a character MOVES, BEHAVES , and SPEAKS. Giving examples of mannerisms instead of using adjectives to describe one’s character make the writing more interesting and vivid.
