TLT: Chapter 4
Use the word bank to complete the summary for Chapter 4 of The Lightning Thief. Sally is driving Gabe's Camaro with Percy and Grover in the back seat. Percy asks Grover about his legs, and he explains that he’s half goat because he’s a satyr (Pronounced “Say-Tur”). Sally and Grover say they’re on their way to the summer camp because there are monsters chasing them. Just as they are about to arrive, a bolt of lightning hits the car and they crash. Everyone survives, but Grover is unconscious. Sally and Percy drag him out and see a Minotaur (pronounced “Min-oh-tar”), a bull - man creature. Sally gives Percy instructions on how to fight it and tries to escape, only to be grabbed by the Minotaur and dissolves into golden light. The Minotaur tries to attack Grover, so Percy jumps on its back. He ends up tearing off its horn and stabs him with it. The Minotaur roars and dissolves into the same golden light as Percy’s mom. Percy drags Grover past a giant pine tree and hears voices talking before he passes out. If you could combine with any animal what animal would you want to combine with? Why that animal?
