Master diffusion and osmosis! This worksheet covers gas exchange, passive transport, and U-tube experiments.

How Gas Exchange Works Watch the video and take some notes! It will help with answering the questions! Look at the GIF below: What part of the body is shown in the GIF above? What is happening? Describe and Explain. ***Use Full Sentences*** Fill in the blanks below by using the drop down menu! Diffusion is the movement of particles from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration until they are evenly spread out. We see an example of this in our lungs. In these sacs called alveoli, molecules of oxygen are diffused into the capillaries. The carbon dioxide in our red blood cells go into the alveoli so they can be exhaled out. What is Osmosis? Watch the video below! Remember to take notes! What is osmosis? Use the definition from the video **Use full sentences** Osmosis deals with what two substances? Give examples of each! What is passive transport? How can water molecules move through the cell membrane? In the video, they talk about a U-Tube experiment. Pay attention to this part.Explain, in detail, what happens to the water on either side.
