Label the structures of the Respiratory System: Use the following terms to label the diagram: alveoli, bronchiole, nose, mouth, windpipe, back of the throat, voice box, diaphragm, lung, left bronchi, right bronchi (remember spelling counts) nasal cavity mouth larynx diaphragm pharnyx trachea left bronchi bronchiole alveoli right bronchi right lung The process of breathing which is also called respiration starts from the nose. The hair in the nose stops the germs and dust from going inside our system. The air then enters the back of our throat which is also called pharynx. The air travels down and passes the voice box which is also called larynx. Then the air enters the windpipe which is also known as trachea. The trachea then divides into two tubes called bronchi which enters each of the lungs. The air then enters the lungs through the bronchi. Inside the lung the bronchi again divides into many small branches called bronchiole. At the end of each bronchioles there are small round bag like parts called alveoli. The air then goes into the bronchioles and then into the aleoli where oxygen is given to the body and carbondioxide is removed when the person breathes out.
