Interviews
Congratulations! You completed your job application and now have an interview for the position of FACS Team Member! The following are commonly asked questions on a job interview. Answer each question professionally and to the best of your ability. If you'd rather speak your answers instead of typing, you may do so by clicking on the microphone after each question! Hello! Thank you for taking the time to interview with us today.Tell me a little about yourself. For this type of question you want to give a quick honest answer. Try to find one thing about yourself that you can relate to the job you are applying for. What is one of your weaknesses? For this type of question you want to find one minor weakness that barely relates to the job and explain what you are doing to work on it. (For example: Sometimes I struggle with organization skills, so I have started to use a To Do list, so that I can prioritize the things I need to get done. ) What is one of your strengths? For this type of question you want to be honest and choose something you are really good at that applies to the job you are interviewing for. Why are you looking to work here? For this type of question you might have to stretch the truth a bit, saying "I need money", might not go over too well. Give an answer about personal growth, or how you can help their company. (Example "I am really interested in the work you do here and would like to expand on my skills..") Why are you looking to leave your current job? Another type of question you may need to stretch the truth a bit on. You never want to bad talk your current jobs and boss, it doesn't look good on you and you never know who people know. Find something pretty meaningless for an answer (For Example: I am looking for a job closer to home. I am looking for a job to help expand my skills." What work related skills have you developed through school? If you have never had a job before, this might be asked. Make sure you find at least 2-3 skills the relate to the job and give examples. (For Example: In my FACS class last year, we worked in cooking groups and I learned basic cooking skills and how to divide up tasks with a group) Why should we hire you? TALK YOURSELF UP BECAUSE YOU'RE AMAZING. Even if you have never had a job before there are many things you can discuss. You want to set yourself apart from other candidates and explain why YOU are perfect for the job. The following video gives some really good interview tips! Especially the no phone.
