Week 17 Day 1
Beach Cleanup Day I went to the beach with my class today, but not to swim and play. e went to the beach to work. We wanted to do something nice for our town. Our job was t pick up trash left on the sand. There are trash cans there, but some people do not use them. They leave soda cans, paper plates, and other kinds of trash right on the ground! My teacher made cleaning up the beach a game. She put is in teams. She gave each team a big bag. The team that picked up the most trash would win a prize. I wondered what it would be. Off we went! My friends and I ran around like ants in a picnic basket. Into the bags went lots of trash. The beach looked better and better. We all felt good about the work we did. We took a rest in the shade and ate a snack. We knew where to put our trash! What would be another good title for the passage?
