Osmosis I Water flows from xylem into phloem by osmosis. 3. Bulk flow the sap (solution of water and sugar) will move automatically from high pressure area to lower pressure area. 4. Unloading sugar moves from phloem to the sink passively ( no energy required). 5. Osmosis II Water moves back to the xylem by osmosis.
