Even further there is the Oort Cloud that is made up of icy, comet-like bodies that surround the solar system. Both the Kuiper belt and the Oort cloud are sources for comets. Comets are frozen leftovers from the formation of the solar system composed of dust, rock, and ices. When they burn up they produce large tails.
