I had a wonderful time exploring Taiping and Gopeng in Perak (one of the states of Malaysia) with my cousins. I took a plane on Saturday morning on June 19 and was met by my uncle and aunt. My cousins were waiting at home to finalize plans for a fun-filled week.The following day was Sunday so we 1. went sightseeing to Taiping. We visited the Perak Museum which is the oldest museum in Malaysia. We also made a stop at the beautiful Taiping Lake Gardens which was built in 1880 on the site of an abandoned tin mine.On Monday. We 2. headed off to Kinta Nature Park in Gopeng. A tour guide took us to 3. explore the wildlife reserve. There are over 100 species of birds and scores of other animals too.After that, we visited the Gopeng Museum. It is located in an antique shop house. There were various old-fashioned household items and vintage furniture exhibited.The next two days were spent in the company of my cousins. We went out for meals to sample the delicious local food.After spending six wonderful days in Perak, I went home. My uncle, aunt, and cousins took me to the airport. It was sad to leave them, but they promised they would visit me.
