Where the Red Fern Grows Chapter 5

As you read or after you read, fill in the blanks with the missing details about chapter 5. Billy goes to the Trade Depot and meets his two dogs for the first time. The stationmaster cuts holes in a SACK that Billy uses to carry the dogs. On his way out of town, Billy is stopped by some kids. One of them pulls on a puppy’s EAR and Billy gets mad. All the kids start to FIGHT Billy until the town MARSHALL comes and chases them off. He treats Billy to a strawberry SODA, and then Billy leaves town. On his way home, Billy stops to camp for the night, but is startled by the scream of a MOUNTAIN LION. Billy chases it off by starting a fire, yelling, and throwing ROCKS towards the noise. His new puppies bark too, proving their bravery.
