Tundra The ground remains frozen throughout the year, called Permafrost Taiga (Coniferous Forest) Coniferous Trees are found in this biome. Desert There is little precipitation and extreme temperatures. Animals and plants found here must have water conserving adaptations. Grassland The soil is thin, but fertile. Mostly grasses and shrubs grow here, few trees. Deciduous Forest This Biome experiences four distinct seasons and trees that lose their leaves. Tropical Rain Forest This Biome experiences warm temperatures and high amount of precipitation, allowing for many different types of plants and animals.
