Temperate Grassland A forest with trees that change leaf color then shed their leaves. Deciduous Forest A driest forest with trees that stay green through the winter. Coniferous Forest A cold biome found on mountains at high altitudes with mosses and small shrubs. Alpine Tundra The coldest biome where permafrost exists and is typically covered in ice Arctic Tundra The driest biome with very hot days and very cold nights. In this biome I saw lots of different animals like caribou, red foxes, owls, and wolves. One owl flew right over my head. A Caribou looked at me and made a really weird noise. I was so cold I ran into a cave. That day I set a goal to try and find a polar bear. The camel finished my tour and just dropped me off in the middle of all the animals in my biome, and the snake started hissing at me.
